FloPump® Family of Centrifugal Pumps - The Choice is Yours

The FloPump family of centrifugal pumps consists of 3 disposable, single-use continuous flow centrifugal blood pumps available in 32ml, 57ml and 80ml priming volume.

Additional features include:

• Minimum surface contact

• Designed to minimize the risk of blood stasis and hemolysis

• Effective flow of up to 7 L/min

•Medical-grade transparent polycarbonate housing

• Standard 3/8” connectors

Centrifugal pumps are commonly used for short-term mechanical cardiac assist due to simplicity of application, universal access, and low cost. Indications and techniques for application of this technology continue to evolve1. Centrifugal pumps have been used widely as the main pump in open heart surgery to reduce damage to blood elements and to reduce the activation of the coagulation system.

The FloPump family of centrifugal pumps are manufactured in a state-of-the-art, ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered manufacturing facility at International Biophysics Corporation.

FloPump® 80

The FloPump 80 is a centrifugal blood pump with a vortex cone design to provide gentle blood handling. The FloPump 80 is used in conjunction with the International Biophysics FloProbe® and is designed to be used with the Medtronic® BioMedicus® Console to pump blood through the extracorporeal bypass circuit for extracorporeal circulatory support for periods appropriate to cardiopulmonary bypass for up to six hours.
