Make FLOSEAL Your Trusted Operating Room Partner
FLOSEAL effectively manages active bleeding thoughout neurosurgical procedures.
FLOSEAL provides hemostasis in small spaces where bleeding impairs visibility and anatomy is difficult ro reach.
Maximum swell volume of FLOSEAL is approximately 10%-20% within 10 minutes.
Flowable design conforms to irregular surfaces, whether bone or soft tissue.
Avoids thermal tissue use, which bears the risk of damaging nerves.
Requires meticulous irrigation.
In Esposito et al., the 78-patient study comparing FLOSEAL with the standard of care, FLOSEAL was associated with shorter surgical duration, lower estimated blood loss, shorter hospital stay, and fewer days in the ICU.
FLOSEAL also reduced recovery time, and patients experienced fewer postoperative complications.
Because Active Hemostasis Matters
Non-flowable, passive hemostats work by mechanical hemostasis only, typically using collagen, gelatin, or oxydized cellulose. FLOSEAL provides advanced flowable hemostasis by acting at the beginning and end of the coagulation cascade through the dual-action combination of high viscosity, cross-linked gelatin granules and human thrombin.
Targeted, Conformable Application
The flowable nature of FLOSEAL allows precise application for bleeding, ranging from capillary oozing to arterial spurting, even in irregular wound surfaces and difficult-to-reach locations.
